Great Lakes Tech Park Awarded Bronze Site Readiness Designation

The Great Lakes Tech Park has officially been awarded the Bronze Site Readiness designation by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), recognizing its strategic potential for new investment and job creation in the Great Lakes Bay Region.

This designation affirms that the site meets key criteria for business attraction, including infrastructure readiness, site control, zoning, and a demonstrated commitment to economic development. The Bronze level is part of the MEDC’s Michigan Site Readiness Program, which helps communities prepare industrial and commercial sites for rapid development by ensuring they meet the needs of growing companies and site selectors.

“We are proud to see the Great Lakes Tech Park recognized at the state level for its readiness and strategic value,” said Tom Miller Jr., President & CEO of Saginaw Future Inc. “This designation enhances our ability to attract high-tech and advanced manufacturing projects that will drive long-term growth in Saginaw County and the Great Lakes Bay Region.”

As part of the Bronze designation, the site has undergone a rigorous review process, including due diligence on utilities, environmental conditions, transportation access, and development feasibility. The MEDC’s program helps reduce risk for site selectors and ensures that Michigan communities are well-positioned to compete for national and international investment opportunities.
